Since 2014, Entomica has made it our mission to share the fascinating, hidden, and often misunderstood world of insects.

We believe that insects possess an outstanding ability to create a spark of curiosity that will lead to a passion for lifelong learning and discovery. Entomica showcases insects to our visitors and uses their fantastic forms and diversity to provide inspiring and educational experiences. Our focus is on personal interaction, and hands on experience for deeper learning.

Entomica is dedicated to learning with nature, culture, and authenticity.

Entomica is a not-for-profit insect focused science centre located in the Canadian Bushplane Heritage Centre in Sault Ste Marie, Ontario. We exhibit a variety of exotic insects from all over the world. Our mission is to inspire and connect visitors of all ages with science and nature through interactive experiences with insects.

We are the first insectarium in Canada that has been federally approved to move our exotic insects outside of our secure location. As such, we are able to bring our unique insects out into the community and deliver our interactive, hands-on program at schools, retirement residences, community events, fundraisers and more.

Entomica's unique outreach program has been recognized by the Canadian Association of Science Centres and by Tourism Sault Ste. Marie for its innovative contributions to cultural and natural heritage.
