Programs Delivery Coordinator (1 position available) 
Wage: $20.00/hr, 35 hours per week

Job Description

Entomica is looking for a Programs Delivery Coordinator to assist us with the creation and

implementation of its various programs and initiatives. The Programs Delivery Coordinator’s key duties

are to assist the Director with the development and delivery of a variety of programming including

education, out-reach, volunteer, fund-development and others.

Tasks and Responsibilities

Develop new and implement existing programs supporting Entomica’s corporate plans

and strategies in collaboration with Director

● Develop and maintain relationships with community partners, stakeholders and

organizations supporting programming growth and sustainability

● Manage and organize various programs following established guidelines and schedules

● Develop and research programming implementation needs including developing

program work plans, budgets and resource lists

● Communicate consistently with clients and stakeholders

● Create various informational documents and assets to support implementation and

promotion of various programs in coordination with Entomica staff

Knowledge, Experience and Skills Required

  • A post-secondary degree or diploma in an environmental, educational or business-related program

  • Excellent personal interaction skills

  • Excellent verbal communication skills

  • Ability to work independently (self-motivated) and as a team

  • Comfortable with doing presentations to various clients, stakeholders and communities 

  • Ability to engage with community and realize desired outcomes

  • Motivation to learn about insects, their biology and ecology

  • Comfortable with handling live insects

  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends


Eligibility Requirements (NOFHC)

  • This position is funded by the Northern Ontario Heritage Fund Corporation (NOHFC). Applicants must meet the NOHFC qualifying criteria to be eligible for the position: 

  • Are new entrants into the work force, are transitioning to a new career, or the unemployed or underemployed who are entering a new field.

  • Have not previously participated in a NOHFC-funded internship.

  • Are at least 18 years of age.

  • Reside in northern Ontario, and be legally entitled to work, in Canada.

  • Applicants must have a current police background including vulnerable sector check

  • Applicants must have valid driver’s license and vehicle access

Job Description

Entomica is looking for a Digital Asset & Marketing Coordinator to assist us with the creation,

organization and delivery of its various digital assets and marketing initiatives. The Digital Asset &

Marketing Coordinator’s key duties are to assist the Director with the development and delivery of a

variety of digital asset management and marketing plans including organization of existing digital assets,

creation of content for delivery via various media forms, creating efficient digital workflows and adding

new and/or additional functionalities to existing digital platforms and media.

Tasks and Responsibilities

Develop and/or implement existing digital asset and marketing plans and strategies

● Develop new functionalities for existing digital assets – website, social media or other

● Develop marketing strategies, resources and content to advertise and promote

Entomica’s various offerings to a variety of audiences/demographics through both

digital and traditional media

● Ensure that marketing efforts are directed, efficient and reaching target audiences

● Monitor, post and respond to comments/feedback directed through Entomica’s digital

channels – website, social media, etc.

● Insect husbandry and tour delivery

Knowledge, Experience and Skills Required

● A post-secondary degree or diploma in a marketing, educational or environmental

related program

● Excellent personal interaction skills

● Excellent verbal communication skills

● Ability to work independently (self-motivated) and as a team

● Experience creating and implementing marketing strategies and plans targeting various

audiences and demographics

● Ability to create/modify websites on various platforms (Wix, Squarespace, etc.) to add

functionalities

● Ability to create digital content for posting to website/social media/YouTube using

open-source software (Canva, ChatGPT, Blender, DaVinci Resolve, etc.)

● Motivation to learn about insects, their biology and ecology

● Comfortable with handling live insects

● Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
