Job Description
The Sault Ste. Marie Insectarium, also known as Entomica, is looking for a Marketing
Coordinator to assist us with marketing and social media at our fantastic new location at the
Canadian Bushplane Heritage Centre. The Marketing Coordinator’s key duties are to assist
with website maintenance and development, marketing content creation and social media.
Tasks and Responsibilities
● To assist director and full-time staff with website maintenance and development (including
adding functionalities to existing site such as online store)
● To assist with and develop engaging, dynamic, and interactive marketing materials and
content (both traditional and digital)
● To assist with and develop social media content for delivery to various platforms
● To monitor and respond to website and social media enquiries
● Follow Health and Safety guidelines
● Work in a team setting
● Must be available to work a flexible work schedule including weekends and holidays
Knowledge, Experience and Skills Required
● Secondary Education
● Experience with website platforms and functions
● Motivation and ability to create unique quality marketing content
● Experience with social media
● Excellent personal interaction and verbal communication skills
● Valid Driver’s license an asset
● Applicants must have a current vulnerable sector check
Eligibility Requirements (Canada Summer Jobs)
This position is funded by the Government of Canada through the Canada Summer Job
program. You must be aged between 15 and 30 and be legally entitled to work in Canada.
Tour Guide (2 positions available)
Wage: $17.75/hr, 35 hours per week

Job Description
The Sault Ste. Marie Insectarium, also known as Entomica, is looking for a Tour Guide toassist us with our insect exhibit at our fantastic new location at the Canadian BushplaneHeritage Centre. The Tour Guide’s key duties are to assist with public tours, insect care, andexhibit and laboratory maintenance.
Tasks and Responsibilities
● To provide educational, experiential, hands-on tours for visitors, at outreach events(community and special events)
● To assist with animal husbandry, exhibit care, and laboratory and exhibit spacemaintenance
● To assist full-time staff with projects, programs and special events
● Follow Health and Safety guidelines
● Work in a team setting
● Must be available to work a flexible work schedule including weekends and holidays
Knowledge, Experience and Skills Required
● Secondary Education
● Motivation to learn about insects, their biology and ecology
● Comfortable with handling live insects
● Excellent personal interaction skills
● Excellent verbal communication skills
● Valid Driver’s license an asset
● Applicants must have a current vulnerable sector check
